Slovenian Torch Makes Stop In Velenje

Velenje is a place where Slovenian Torch made a sixth stop on its way. Despite cold and rainy weather, the crowd of sports enthusiasts gathered yesterday in Velenje and greeted the arrival of Tomaž Razingar and other Olympians with Slovenian torch.

It was very busy in Velenje ice rink, where enthusiastic young people welcomed Slovenian Olympians accompanied by Tomaž Razingar. Today's event was also attended by the athletes Matjaž Debelak, Bernard Vajdič, Miran Rauter, Domen Pociech and snowboarder Gloria Kotnik, participant of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and is a candidate for the show in Pyongyang.

It was a pleasure was to observe young sports enthusiasts who participated in some Olympic challenges. They were able to test their skills in curling, shooting for a hockey goal and sledding with Dojran Pociech, a sled rider and a participant of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Of course, Foxi The Fox, a mascot of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia was present to make this event even more cheerful.

The Slovenian torch will take the weekend off and on Wednesday, January 24,  will continue its journey to Maribor.
