"Bela Krajina Open Days" is a project in the scope of EDEN – European Destinations of Excellence that is developed and led by the Development and Information Centre Bela krajina, Tourist Society Vigred Metlika, and Tourist Information Centre Semič.
The purpose of the tourist product "Bela krajina Open Days" is to offer individual visitors to Bela krajina a better and more genuine tourist experience.
An application available through the tourist portal www.belakrajina.si will present personalized tourist offers to individual visitors. The application will enable each visitor to get information about the availability (days, times, and locations) of the various local providers of tourist services (tourist farms, adrenaline experiences, galleries …), homemade local products (honey, cheeses, local yeasted flatbread “belokranjska pogača”, meats, …), and tastings (wine, local cuisine). Visitors will also be able to get information on upcoming events (exhibitions, performances, concerts …) and plan their trip to Bela krajina in advance.
Local tourist providers participating in the project will open their doors to visitors already on Thursday, 13 July 2017, between 4 pm and 8 pm.
Open days will continue throughout the tourist season (from July up to and including September). Weekly schedules will soon be published on www.belakrajina.si and available through other channels as well (Facebook, eNews).
