Nathan and Haley were classmates in the natural sciences’ high school. They were in their final year, Nathan was a leader of the basketball team and Haley was one of those students who knew everything. Not only did she know everything, teachers were also encouraging her in becoming one of them eventually. On the other side, as it could be expected from the sports kid in the school, Nathan was a different case. His grades were not the best and he certainly did not have any interest in any of the subjects, except of going to trainings. He was this handsome, charming boy who every girl was trying to impress. And as it could be expected, had a very beautiful girlfriend as well.
However, things were not looking as good for him at the end of the first term. He had to re-sit almost all of his subjects and graduation seemed like a happy dream rather than reality at this point. For this reason, he decided himself that calling Haley for help would be the best choice. They were not friends, not even acquitances. They did not have anything in common and were in different groups in school. But it was worth the try.
On their first meeting for help, English was first. And has it could be expected, he was no professor there either.
- You really need to work on it. English is something which needs attention.
- Hahaha, I will remember that – he replied. “Now take this” – he added, putting a small bracelet onto her wrist. It was made out of purple berry buttons. “Take it as a gratitude from me… so that you don’t say I have not given you anything in return for your help”.
