Inherit the Culture. Preserve the City!

Besides two grand celebrations in Salzburg this year, being the first one the 50th anniversary of the first law in Austria that was passed committed to the preservation of the Old City and the second, 20 years ago, the Salzburg historical district being named to the UNESCO World Heritage List, it is taking the place the Exhibition "Inherit the Culture. Preserve the City!".

The exhibition will be split in two:

The first part of the exhibition

  • Residenzplatz Square – in an ink drawing by Rudolf Hradil
  • The Tomaselli kiosk – by Theodor Ethofer
  • The old market stands – by Friedrich Loos
  • Makartplatz and Cathedral Square as far as the Neutor – by different artists

The second part of the Exhibition

  • The history of Hotel Stein
  • Restoration of University Church
  • The “Mississippi Steamer” café
  • The Salzburg courthouse 
  • The new construction project on Rehrlplatz Square
