As it's already well known, this weekend the oldest folklore festival in Slovenia, Jurjevanje, was held in Črnomelj, Bela Krajina. As a sponsor, BIG BERRY had an opportunity to participate in all the events of the festival and enjoy the full experience of different cultures.
On Friday evening the program started with an intimate reception in the wine cellar Črnomaljska vinska klet. In the pleasant environment of an authentic Bela Krajina wine cellar people had a chance to enjoy wine and food of the region with the sounds of violins and harmonica. After the introduction of the festival by director of RIC Bela Krajina Peter Črnič, the participans of the festival from Slovenia, Serbia and Puerto Rico introduced and described the traditional clothes of their regions, explaining the visuals and telling the story behind every piece of the costume.
When the ceremony in the cellar finished, everyone headed towards the main stage in the center to enjoy the rest of the festival and performances of the folklore dancers from different countries while local wines of the region and food from farm Totter were served on the tables with the view on the stage.
