Remote working causes lower stress levels and higher productivity

03. 01. 2018

There are still numerous myths about remote workers that we need to stop believing.

Firstly, managers want constantly control their workers. Actually, they are not sure that work will be definetely completed if the employer is out of the central office.

Jure Šutar is a consultant for European region. He also provides expert advice about remote employment. Jure visited BIG BERRY  at the summer time, as a Mastermind guest in order to give advice about remote work. As he presented to @BIG BERRY team during an interesting BB Mastermind lecture, working from the office it is not so productive way of working, as people often believe.

According to Jure’s opinion: "Meetings, coffee brakes, phone calls, “urgent” interruptions from your co-workers. Instead of having a work day, you end up with series of work moment. No surprise you’re not productive!".

Although, researchers say that when you get the freedom to work on your own, the productivity importantly increase. For example, slack application is a useful tool available to bring team communication and collaboration into one place so you can get more work done, whether you are a member of a particular group or an organization. It is just a stereotype that remote workers are out of contact. As Jure Šutar put on display at @BIG BERRY team, the great variety of on-line tools and social media platforms give a huge advantage of this type of working.

Meetings are also effective when conducted via Skype, Messenger, E-mail, Dropbox, Google Docs, Campfire, Basecamp, Zoom. Human networks and communities are constantly growing, making cooperative action possible. There is no difficulty in the communication as the level of engagement of people is quite high.
